    1. Theoretically I suppose it could find a way to rub/scratch it off, but not too easily. Other than that, these mite larvae will drop off by themselves eventually (after feeding for a while - much like a Tick) and then moult to their next (nymphal) stage, which is already a free-living predator running about in soil litter.
