  1. For a bit of a change from birds... :) Posted 4 years ago
    1. Well done!

Given your "backyard", and should you have time for it, wouldn't hurt to put out some butterfly bait every once in a while. No pressure.

      1. Do you mean bananas or things like that? Unfortunately, my corner of Peru is back on lockdown at least until month's end, so I can't go out except for shopping or going to the bank :/ Posted 4 years ago
        1. Yes, bananas or rotten fish, sometimes even mixed with human urine. Just human urine will also do sometimes. Gross, I know. With rotten fish, keep in mind that vultures are soon to detect it.

Sorry to hear you're on lockdown again. Here it's doable, but in such a beautiful environment it must be extra painful. Hang in there.

          1. That's nice of you to say :) It's fine, I have plenty to keep me busy in the office, and I do have a few butterfly pics that I can upload here!
What about you, any nature outings on the horizon?

            1. Our next target location is Ecuador, the big question is when. Definitely not this year, hoping perhaps somewhere in Q2 2021 but this is far from sure. Posted 4 years ago
              1. Oh Ecuador, nice! Would you have time to include the Galapagos? Posted 4 years ago
                1. Don't count on it, both time-wise and money-wise, strongly in doubt :) Posted 4 years ago
                  1. Fair enough. And plenty to do on the mainland! By the way, I can recommend the digital version of the Birds of Ecuador guidebook. The illustrations are NOT great, but they give a wealth of information about the best places to see specific species, which is really nice. Posted 4 years ago
                    1. Thanks for that tip! Our rough goal for the trip is to attend some 4 mostly jungle locations, altering between the north (similar to South Colombia) and Central/East.

Can't help it man, I'm born for the jungle. I favor it over any other habitat :)

                        1. Thanks mate, but let's first get there :) Posted 4 years ago
                      2. Ah well Ecuador is already receiving tourists from Europe, so unless things go terribly wrong, I think it will not be a problem to go when you've planned it. Posted 4 years ago
  2. That's very bonny, Thibaud! Posted 4 years ago
