Chinese Tallow Tree For some reason, my father loved this tree, probably because the leaves turn yellow, orange and red in the Fall. We don&#039;t get much color in fall leaves here in South Texas.  If you look closely, the leaves are starting to turn, finding yellow, orange and red here and there.  By late September most of them will have changed colors.<br />

Chinese Tallow Tree

"Triadica sebifera" is a tree native to eastern China and Taiwan. It is commonly called Chinese tallow, Chinese tallowtree, Florida aspen, chicken tree, gray popcorn tree, or candleberry tree.
