Spindle Ermine Moth (Yponomeuta cagnagella) A tricky so 'n' so to photograph due to its diminutive size and reflective white colouration, it's also a fascinating little thing to watch with its antennae continually on the move as if it's desperately trying to tune in to its favourite radio programme.
In caterpillar form, it's not so popular......
1. "as if it's desperately trying to tune in to its favourite radio programme" ...that is hilarious! It reminds me of trying to adjust rabbit ears on top of the TV so you can get a channel. Posted 4 years ago
    1. OMG! I remember those.

My mum and dad used to make me stand to the side of the TV holding the Arial in place so they could watch the Black & White Minstrels on a Saturday evening.

Which was also, ironically the first TV programme I ever watched in colour.

      1. Lol, yes! I remember precariously balancing them in different positions, wrapping aluminum foil around them, etc. to try to get a signal. The good ol' days, haha. Posted 4 years ago
        1. "The good ol' days,"

Which is another programme I had to stand there like a poor man's Atlas, so my parents could watch.
