Species connection This is a moment I will never forget. Slowly and cautiously I was approaching a couple of Red-fronted lemurs hanging out in a tree, them being fully aware of my presence. When I was directly beneath the tree this male stuck his head out and we stared at each other for a minute or so, both equally curious about the strange creature in sight. As I then moved on to take a few shots, this red-fronted lemur kept twisting his head, similar to how dogs behave when you talk to them but have no idea what you&#039;re saying. <br />

The red-fronted lemur, also known as the red-fronted brown lemur or southern red-fronted brown lemur, is a species of lemur from Madagascar. Until 2001, it was considered a subspecies of the common brown lemur, ''E. fulvus''. In 2001, ''E. fulvus'' was split into several separate species, including ''Eulemur rufus'', in which this species was included. In 2008, ''E. rufus'' was split into two species, the red lemur and the red-fronted lemur . ''E. rufus'' covers the population on the west coast.. more
