    1. It is. Many people look at trees as being long-lived but there are a number of herbaceous plants that can have long lives. These are not only clonal species like bracken fern or clubmosses. I had read a study that monitored the same plants of marsh marigold for 50 years. The leathery grapefern can also live for decades and some studies suggest that there are grapefern plants over 100 years old. Posted 5 years ago
