Aristida basiramea (Forked Three-awn)
Detail of glabrous leaf sheath. Aristida basiramea is a small clump-forming annual grass with a narrow leaves giving it a wispy appearance. When in flower and later as the seeds mature the inflorescence has a dark green color.
Habitat: dry sandy and gravelly soil in full sun.
