
Shaggy-stalked Bolete (Aureoboletus betula)
I nearly blacked out twice getting photos of Aureoboletus betula (previously Heimioporus betula), but it was worth it! At least they were not too far off of my driveway!
At a dense mixed forest edge, growing in leaf litter/near rotting wood. Under Carya sp. and Quercus sp. Gordon County, Georgia, US. August 27, 2020.
