
Meleagris gallopavo (wild turkey) feather
One of the wing feathers. Found in a sandy field near the edge of mixed oak and pine forest. There are six subspecies of wild turkey but the most widespread and also the only one found in Wisconsin is Meleagris gallopavo silvestris.
