
Symphyotrichum boreale (Northern Bog Aster)
The leaves of this aster are very long, narrow, smooth margined (or rarely with a few small teeth) but with some short hairs near the base, and sessile. Found in a former cranberry bed that is now reverting to a native species wetland habitat.

''Symphyotrichum boreale'' is a species of flowering plant in the family Asteraceae native to North America. Common names include rush aster, northern bog aster and slender white aster.
