A Hispaniolan Grass Anole (Anolis semilineatus) lurking in the hedge I had already seen several types of anoles at our rental house in Casa de Campo when I realized that the yard was surrounded by a grassy hedge in which I had not yet seen any anoles. This could not be allowed to stand, so I took a good look and found this one. Anolis semilineatus is a slender anole endemic to the island of Hispaniola, which disguises itself among the long grasses in which it lives.
