  • Hunting This pair of Papuan Cuttlefish - Sepia papuensis were seen hanging out together for quite a long time. The female was actively hunting, as seen in the picture, with her extending her proboscis, which has a sticky end to catch shrimps and crabs. Like all species of Cuttlefish, they are master of camouflage and can change the colour and texture of their skin within seconds. The male is at the back, with darker patches of colour. Usually, when they are swimming quickly, or in 'hunting' position, their colour changes to light/white colour as seen in the female.
