Thanks Ferdy - I have managed to get quite a few of these "web intro" species images on La Palma :o)
Maybe I should tag these accordingly :-P
P.S. Come to think of it, I'm sure that the likes of Christine, Lisa, Albert, Martin, Rui, Yourself and others here may have build up a considerable portfolio of these over the years :o)

Ah - recognition at last! I was a bit dismayed that no grand certificate for "insect life guard of the week" was issued when we left :o)

This one was around 4mm, maybe 4.1-4.2mm? First time ever I've found one of these "big eyed" dudes - very neat an weird at the same time :o)

Yes, most definitely! The whole island was much dryer and hotter than last time (march 2019) and we only found _very_ limited insect-life on all the (suffering) vegetation(!) The pool compensated for that nicely :o)

Yes, some other beetles have the fused elytra too ... mostly clumsy flyers ;o)

Yes, it has some special features :o) Such as the shape of the scutellum :

The hairs/spines on the antenna are actually diagnostic vs. other species of Arenocoris:

Ahw, that would have mostly been the cleaning ladies in the apartment *lol* ... around the pool it was mostly the other guests of the compound that frowned a little at first, but in the end appreciated us 'cleaning' the pool for them ;o)

Thanks Ferdy, I had a few others on an old leaf, but the lighting and focus was much less (wouldn't sit still)
    9. Comment on Cryptamorpha desjardinsi 8 days ago
Thanks Christine - took it for a Carabidae at first, until I had a better look at my photos on a bigger screen :o)

Thanks Ferdy, I suffered of our well known zooming-disease without end on this one :-/
