      most grateful! And I must add this specification to the photo settings: Handheld.
      the whole series were "sync" cropped, and luckily enough that there were no major differences between each frames.

      This series took exactly 30 minutes, and took place in the middle of the afternoon, from 4:25 to 4:55 pm. I left the place at 5:00pm, not too long after the last photograph, and still it had the wings halfway to full length. Given that it would get colder and colder as it progressed towards the end of the afternoon, at least 2 hours could be expected to reach the full abdominal and wings extent. After this time the imago would move to a favorable location for the first warm-up and hence the first flight, the first day after, in all a new environment to explore. From water to land, the glimpse of the first major evolutionary step in the conquest of the terrestrial environment :)
