Araneus circulissparsus

Araneus circulissparsus

This small green orb spider in the genus Araneus is defined by the two white dots on the abdomen.
Orb spider (Araneus circulissparsus) This specimen has more strongly marked white spots than any image I have seen online. Araneus,Araneus circulissparsus,Australia,Geotagged

Appearance

Based on similar species it is likely that the white dots are specific to females and the males are entirely green.
Orb spider (Araneus circulissparsus) This green orb spider seems quite variable and might have patterns of spots or a stripe on the abdomen. I thought this might be Araneus psittacinus but based on http://www.findaspider.org.au/find/spiders/111.htm it is Araneus circulissparsus
