Embed Greater Yellow Lady's Slipper - Cypripedium parviflorum

Greater Yellow Lady's Slipper - Cypripedium parviflorum I usually find these in early June, so they were a bit early this year!

Large, yellow flower on the end of a leafy stalk. Flowers have an inflated, yellow, pouch-shaped lip petal.
This flower is listed as "Exploitably Vulnerable" in New York. This designation means that this species is likely to become threatened in the near future throughout its range if causal factors continue unchecked.

Habitat: Mostly coniferous forest
