Anigozanthos Kangaroo Paw Anigozanthos is a small genus of Australian plants in the bloodwort family, commonly known here as Kangaroo Paw due to the shape of the flowers. These perennials are endemic to dry sandy  areas of southwest Australia. <br />
The popularity of Anigozanthos, as a garden plant or commercially produced cut-flower, has led to the development of cultivars. The Australian Cultivar Registration Authority lists twenty seven registered names and descriptions of cultivars derived from the genus.     1. These were in a mass planting at the Botanic Gardens in Sydney Mark, and I did look for specifics, unfortunately staff had provided just general Anigozanthos info on the little plaques by the beds. What struck me about these was how vibrant the orange was - it all looked spectacular with accompanying reds and yellows. Posted one year ago
