A caecilian (Typhlonectes sp.) from the upper Amazon Basin in Peru. Aquatic caecilians of the genus Typhlonectes are not uncommon in the Upper Amazon Basin, particularly in Peru.  This species of Typhlonectes, most likely T. compressicauda, was encountered in Amazonian Peru, 2012.
