  4. the forest they are found in are full of predators especially like drongos and bee-eaters which feed on these butterflies.. So this camouflage helps butterfly in way that if any of these birds chasing the butterfly, it just sits on nearest branch closing its wings.. And i've seen this.. Drongos are pretty clever but still get fooled by this little creature.. Posted 8 years ago

The South Indian Blue Oakleaf is a nymphalid butterfly found in India. The underside appears like a leaf complete with midrib while the upperside is brilliantly coloured.
