  1. Hi all,

As i was photographing a male Blackbird in my garden a couple of years ago, i recorded its song on
to my iPhone. It had a particular little call that was very distinct and we always knew it was
"our Blackbird" every time he landed on our Silver Birch.

So with this audio, i wondered what it would sound like slowed down, which i do with a cool
free piece of software called Audacity. The result is fascinating. Parts sound like a whale
call and others kind of like a horse. Anyway, i uploaded it to youtube at the time and
thought i'd share it on here for you guys to hear.

  2. That is so cool! It sounds creepy, prehistoric, and funny all at the same time. Shared on JungleDragon's FB and Google+ channels, thank you so much for sharing. Replied 4 years ago
  3. Glad you liked it. It is very weird isn't it. I'll have to do it with other song birds as well :) Replied 4 years ago
  4. That would be quite an original series, love the idea. Yes, it is very weird. To me it sounds like some kind of universal, prehistoric sound, hard to explain. Replied 4 years ago
