Madagascar is the home of beautiful landscapes, every turn you make on the road a new painting appears. Yet this one is not as green as it appears. There's the signs of human settlements, but also the green is man-made. They are replanted trees, eucalyptus, that make for fast growing wood. Wood is used above all for heating and cooking, as most citizens do not have access to gas.
