    Hi Joost, is the black border due to vignetting or not? It's not disturbing here. Very sharp close up.

      The lens itself has hardly any vignetting, but I added the vignetting later on in software. I use it to make the surrounding less distracting without having to crop that surrounding away. Learned that from Ferdy. The straight line you see in the left upper corner is not software, but the very real edge of the table. I first placed the shield bug on a mirror which lay on the table, but the shield bug walked away. Only on the table he stopped a moment and gave me the chance to take a few pictures.
