Orange Ladybird ready for takeoff As I was chasing this orange ladybird through the forest, it kept flying away. It's interesting to see their ritual before doing so. They stretch their legs to lift their body, unfold the outer shield to release their wings, start their "engine" and then take off. The process takes 2 or 3 seconds at a minimum each time.
