Unlimitethhh Bokeh (ode to 'JungleDragon' Ferdy;-)) Wow, it took the snake great length to crawl towards me, subtle moments in grace. Such a fascinating creature! This is the first photo I uploaded of my Oliemeulen visit (Tilburg). Ferdy, after so many beautiful and amazing pictures of critters and crawlers at the Oliemeulen I went there myself. I had a great time! This first location picture is dedicated to you, for all your great work and inspiration to all of us:)!

Thanks so much, Ludo, I feel honoured.

You've set a high standard with this 1st photo. The lighting is beautiful as is the bokeh, and a lot less noise than in my Oliemeulen pics. Homepage material.

PS: Interesting that somehow I missed this snake specie during my visit!

Hey thanks Ferdy, I am honoured yet again to be on the homepage among amazing ones. And all credits go to you of course! I snapped this one with my prime 50mm 1.8 lens (one of the cheapest Canon lenses but with greatest proven technology, the design is more than 20 years old if I remember correctly) without flash. I did have a very small sturdy tripod which I cold carefully place vertically on the glass with the lens pointing towards the glass. Worked like a charm. This snake is just in front of the crocodiles.

Cool, the F1.8 and tripod explains the awesome quality, not to forget of course the human being operating it :) If you don't mind, please do share these gems at their original resolution (I think you already do), they will make great entries for this list:

Grin, yeah it must be the tripod then:) Though I had some mayor fun pushing the buttons. I had a stiff right arm from holding the camera, really:)
As always I share them in full format (or cropped a little), so 18Mpx or just a tiny bit less. You guessed correctly.
        The story continues!
