Komodo Dragon closeup

Komodo Dragon closeup This is a closeup of a Komodo Dragon, the largest species of lizard in the world. This photo was shot in central Bali, Indonesia.

A few dangerous septic pathogens (bacteria: E. coli, Staphylococcus sp., Providencia sp., Proteus morgani and P. mirabilis) can be found in the mouths of wild Komodo dragons. Those pathogens are not present in the mouths of captive animals, due to a cleaner diet and the use of antibiotics.
